**I have no idea why the pics turned out so crappy. I hate this camera. I'll try to get better pics soon.
I'm currently in a dillema. I have a 94 GSR and a 99 Si. I can't keep them both. I have no idea which one I should get rid of. So...I'll post them up and let the people decide. Whichever car sells first is the car I will sell. The other one I have to keep as a DD.
I'm sure that there are things I'm forgetting in the follwing descriptions so please PM me for any questions. Both cars are located in Aurora, IL.
General rules are:
1.) Please keep any negative comments to yourself or PM me them if you're actually interested in the car.
2.) When you PM me, please tell me which car you are asking about.
3.) Please PM me your name along with your contact information if you choose to ask me to contact you.
4.) No joy rides. I will be the one driving the car unless you have cash in hand or show genuine interest in buying the car.
5.) I don't let people come to my house for this sort of thing. Nothing personal. But I will meet you somewhere. The GSR is not insured so it will have to be closer to me. Please don't ask me to meet you somewhere far.
6.) I'm extremely busy. Between school and work, I'm doing 70+ hour weeks. Please don't waste my time...and please be patient with me to make time for you.
First up:
The 1994 GSR.
-Black
-185K miles.
Brief description:
The car was owned previously by my friend's dad. He's a 60 year old engineer. He sold it to me. Before him, the owner was a friend of a friend. The guy really did baby the car. He had no WTF VTEC was. He had no idea that the GSR was something special. The car probably never saw above like 5k RPM before my friend's dad bought it. This sounds like a made up story to sell a car. It's not. I wouldn't do something that obviously cheesy.
The car runs GREAT. It's so damn smooth that it's unbelievable that the car has 185k miles. I drive 100 miles daily and I would not hesitate to keep this car for a few years. If I put a peice of tape over the Odometer, You'd figure it had 50k miles on it max by the way it runs.
It has power windows, locks, mirrors, steering, cruise, and AC. The AC seems to be working...but it's cold out. The seats are cloth and they are in AWESOME shape. Can't believe how nice the whole interior is. Windows roll down smoothly (just lubed with silicone).
The Good:
-BONE stock. Un modded. Un touched.
-Runs insanely great.
-Newer clutch
-New OEM plug wires.
-Brand new battery
-BRAND spaking new (like 10 miles old) Distributor king distributor with lifetime warranty.
-New brakes (with a little surface rust from sitting).
-Just changed the oil.
-Doesn't smoke or burn any fluids.
-The interior is in MINT condition.
-Comes with OEM 6 disc changer (pioneer).
-Decent tread on tires.
-Makes great power all the way up to 8200RPM. Engine feels especially strong regardless of miles. It's pretty damn quick.
-New OEM Honda thermostat. Coolant was also flushed at that time (obviously).
The Bad:
-The car has an exhaust leak somewhere. It's not loud...but it's one of those raspy leaks. The car's still pretty quiet.
-The exhaust heat shielding is rattling. (oh noes!!)
-A couple of the rims have small pot hole bends in them. They still balanced out fine. I balanced them myself.
The Ugly:
-The car has some rust. It's on the A and B pillars (windshield header). There's some on the LR quarter...but it's totally just flash surface rust that can be sanded off and probably won't ever come back. The A pillar rust is pretty significant. It can be fixed, I'm sure. But...it's there.
(see pictures). The windshield header doesn't leak or anything. The structural beams are still there underneath the rusted face metal. It's currently taped up with black gorilla tape and from like 10 feet away it looks perfectly fine!
-Bumper is peeling and hood is dented/peeling at one portion from my friend's dad bumping something. These are easily replaced. A new hood sells for $70 at some body parts shop in Naperville.
-The paint on the rest of the car is actually in really good condition with minimal swirl marks and no fading.
$3000OBO

Freshly cleaned engine bay.

Just showing that the paint is pretty good. Plenty of gloss. This is not waxed, BTW. Just soap and water.

The rust:

The hood dents/bumper damage.

Next up is my 99 Si.
-Red
-141K miles (it's my DD so the mileage will change).
Brief description:
This has been my DD for almost 2 years. It's been running like it came off the showroom floor ever since I bought it. The paint is in amazing condition. The body is in amazing condition. There is not even a hint of rust anywhere. Even the chassis under neath the car is clean enough to eat off of. I'm a very meticulous person about maintenance. I regularly powerwash and paint the chassis and underhood. This shows...trust me. This car is CLEAN.
******CLEAN CARFAX!!!! EVERY BODY PANEL HAS A VIN TAG ON IT ALSO!!**************
The engine runs great. No weird noises. No weird behaviors. It consumes about 1qt between oil changes max. For anyone that's owned a B series car...that's AMAZING at any mileage. These cars have oil squirters. They will consume a little bit of oil. 0.5-1qt every 3k miles can be considered next to nothing. The oil is changed religeously every 3-4k miles.
Power everything. Cruise. AC (blows ice cold for sure...will give you a brain freeze).
The Good:
-Brand new Exedy clutch and 9.75lb flywheel (3-4k miles). This also means that the Honda genuine MTF only has around 3-4k miles on it also.
-Brand new radiator and coolant.
-Newer Kevlar brake pads (around 10k on them).
-New platinum OEM spark plugs.
-New OEM primary O2 sensor.
-New OEM plug wires.
-T belt and water pump replaced at 110k miles with all OEM parts including the cam/crank oil seals. Next interval is 210k miles. You have quite a while.
-New Omni Power 3 ring cam plug on exhaust cam (old one was leaking).
-Valve adjustment done around 120k miles.
-Highway miles. I drive to and from NIU in DeKalb and Waubonsee in Sugar grove every week day.
-Doesn't smoke or burn any fluids.
-Makes good, smooth power all the way up to 8200RPM.
-New Distributor king distributor with lifetime warranty (about 10k miles on it).
-Tires have between 60% and 80% left. All season performance tires. BFG traction TA up front. Dunlop Sp Sport something out back.
-Everything works!! **with the exception of the power mirror on the passenger side.
The Bad:
-The CEL will come on/off randomly for catalytic converter inefficiency. The car just passed emissions at the time when the light was off. It turns on and off every few hundred miles. The cat is on the borderline between good and bad. So...if you mind the little yellow light, get a replacement cat. If not...forget it.
The Ugly:
-Few dents on hood.
-Few parking lot style door dings/scratches.
-Rock chips from driving on the highway every day.
Again...the car is in amazing condition. Those dents/dings/scratches/chips are all minor...but I like to put everything up front.
Exterior Mods:
-15X7 +40 Enkei RPF1 reps. Nice and light. No bends. No curb rash. Painted silver.
Bolt ons:
-Stock Intake box with cut bottom tube for resonation chamber delete and to pull in cold air instead of engine bay air. Metal intake arm from a generic CAI system cut to fit. Similar to the comptech ice box design.
-OBX header
-OEM CTR intake manifold.
-Apex'i World sport exhaust (only about 15k miles on exhaust).
Interior:
-OEM CTR shift boot.
-CTR replica shift ****.
-**WILL COME WITH OEM CD PLAYER...NOT THE ONE IN THE PICTURES!!
Suspension:
-Ground control coilovers on stock shocks up front and Tokico blues out back. Rides AWESOME. Firm but very very comfy. Very little body roll.
-OEM ITR 22mm rear bar with Beaks subrame kit. These cars come with the CTR front LCAs and a 26mm front bar. The car feels PLANTED.
-Omni aluminum RLCAs.
-Front swaybar links replaced with all metal ones. OEM ones wore out.
-Stock springs come with the car.
I'm kinda iffy on selling my EM1...so you can try to lowball me but I probably won't go for it lol. I'm very un-motivated to sell this car as I'm sure I'll regret doing so. It's so damn nice.
$7000 OBO. Seriously...feel free look at some of the other EM1s out there and compare them to mine.
The car was just washed up with just soap and water and the paint still looks this good. It is regularly waxed and claybarred.

Trying to show off the paint quality in better lighting...again...I hate this camera.

Look thru the blurry-ness. The engine bay is VERY clean.

A sample of the paint. This is after a claybar and wax a while back.

This is a better pic of the car (picture quality wise) from when it wasn't lowered.
