Spoon Hi Cams
I was wondering if anyone can elaborate or provide some useful feedback on these set of cams. I'm currently looking at them to be installed on a 06 JDM Integra Type-R for circuit racing while trying to gain max HP.
On the other hand, how would you guys rate or compare Spoon products to other brands such as Skunk2, Toda, BuddyClub, etc..??

if your looking for big power, id look elsewhere, spoons never been big on parts making big power just being balanced an slightly better and stronger for endurance racing, if you want power look at ips cams, the ips k2's are nice, and if your modded, the ips k2'2 mark2 hot cams are even better, if your staying a 2.0 ltr
But aren't the IPS cams known to be used for drag racing due to the fact that they like higher compression ratio such as 13:1? I'm not planning to go higher than 12:1. I would prefer to increase my reliability while obtaining descent power at the same time.
Besides the IPS, any other recommendations or feedback?

no there no stricly for drag racing, they can easily be used on the street and for road racing, and the k2's dont require that hi of compression, 12.1 is fine, the k2's are there smaller cams, they also have the k10's the kxv's etc those are the cams your thinking off that need big comp
other good street cams are toruku street cams, blue print, brian crower, and if you get skunk2 cams, make sure they are super brand new, with the updated design that gets rid of the timeing chain slap problem
check out www.k 2 0 a.org remove the spaces, thats a great and very informative site for k series info

Thanks for the feedback 01. I will seriously look into them and research a bit more. Btw, I am also on K20a.org doing some research and asking people about the same thing. Thanks again
