Has anyone gotten the TSB for 2nd gear popping out done?
Ive read up on the tsb for the 2nd gear popping out, and mentioned it to the dealer. They said they have to duplicate the problem even though its intermittent and i said it happened to me 3 times already. Did anyone get theirs done out of warranty? Did anyone get the fluid changed and it solved the problem? Im getting the tranny and diff fluid done in a few days, but i was just wondering about other peoples experiences.
its happened only 3 times? what yr/mileage?
they wont do anything unless its duplicated, and since its only a bulletin, chances are you wont get any free work.
popping out of gear could also be driver error, not saying it is, but from a dealer perspective, your word just isnt enough

My first action is going to be going back to my local honda where im friends with a few service coordinators and try to convince them to do it...if not, ill call honda of america...it might have to wait till spring cause im putting her away soon for the winter.
I mean i just don't understand...Don't they take the persons word..It pops out of gear.. None of us are not making this up..its obviously a problem and they know about it cause there is a ****ing bulletin about. So they know it pops out and basically wont do anything unless they see it...un****ing believable!!

I have the same problem, It pops out when I don't warm her up enough. It would happen to me on rare occasions, but it began to do it more frequently I will do the trans service again (did it about 10k ago) and see how it works out. I am low on clutch fluid by the way, but I highly doubt it's that. >=\

mines done it maybe 3 times in 2 years - i always figured i hadn't quite engaged the cog quite right. I shouldn't have doubted myself! cheers killa - next time it happens, i'm gonna go and cry at the dealership..
My 04 has done it maybe 6 times over 3+ years; only out of 1st gear.
Tranny fluid change did not fix it, but much more risk/hassle taking to the dealer - they will rape me, take too long, damage my car, and may make it worse.
I have just decided to live with it.
