itr ecu questions
alright here it go guys......first off I am fairly new to itr and have came to a dead end so i though by posting here i get some guidance from you pros in here...
i am doing a usdm itr swap in my ej6 hatch, the itr engine is year 01 and there is the infamous imbolizer for the damn ecu....so my question is and what i have "heard"....that i can use a 98 usdm itr ecu and get it running the 01 itr engine...and i will be using a 99 si harness.... will the ecu be plug and play for me? or the 98 usdm ecu DOES indeed have an imbolizer and its a myth...
sorry guys i tried googling it up and everything couldnt seem to find the exact answers that i am looking for, so i though i might post here in the itr thread to see if any of you itr pros can lend me some help...
thanks guys much appriecateed....

I dont believe the JDM ECU has an imobilizer, just a thought however it has different fuel curves if I'm not mistaken and it might run bad with the USDM. SI wiring harness will work great, should be plug and play. I know with a EX harness you must extend the O2 sensor wires, and temperature sensor wires. I think thats all. Remember to get a Civic SI throttle cable and to make things go smoother I recomend aftermarket mounts. Dont forget your belts, make sure to get a ITR upper radiator hose. The B series hoses are 2mm bigger but the clamps will compress them down. You can use the D series lower radiator one and heat it up by sticking it in really hot water almost to a boil and spray some lithium grease on it and it will slip over the 2mm bigger fitting on the B series motor. Or get a B series lower radiator hose your choice. Buy extra fuel line because you need to extend the fuel return line slightly. Also works as vacuum line. There is 1 coolant passage I believe you will have to block? IDK its in the intake manifold on the back a little gray hose, I mean little. Maybe its a vent IDK but block it off. You can shuv an extra bolt in the line to plug it. Again I dont remember what it was for. If you have any questions ask because I'm sure I can answer them. Do it right the 1st time around BTW. Make sure to get an array of hose clamps and maybe a coupler for your intake unless your using the stock ITR.
