Default ABS on a 93 civic Si

Alright, so I've heard that the brakes on the si eg's are the same as that on an integra. My question is which one? Or does it even matter the model? Reason is I"m planning on putting ABS on my civic since unfortunately mine didn't come with the option. And then after I know which integra brake will work, is it as simple as taking the abs brakes from the integra and then just popping them on my car?

its not simple at all. I dont recommend anyone ever attempt to add ABS to a car that didnt have it, too expensive, too much work. If you've ever looked at a civic/teg of that generation that did have ABS you'd realize how many parts/lines are involved.

But if you're rich I guess you could throw money at it, that will work eventually.

Remember that ABS doesn't make you stop faster, it allows you to steer while braking. And, I agree with the above poster that adding ABS is a pricey, labour intensive effort. Lots of electronics, wiring, parts and testing involved. Arguably little added benefit.

Not too many mods I'd suggest looking for a whole new car for, but this is one of them. Some 94 Si models came w/ ABS if you really want it -- hard to find, though.

There are people removing ABS from their rides. Maybe try to find someone who's doing that and get the whole setup from them. It would require swapping trailing arms and knuckles, running more wires and maybe something involving the ECU or adding another computer in... I think it's too much work.

The '94 and '95 Civic EX have the same front calipers as the Integra RS, which is the same size setup as the GSR and LS. I think that would be fine, but the fact they are different part numbers may mean something minor is different.

You also need all to swap all of the hard brake lines front to back, swap the master cylinder and brake booster, add in the ABS box, add in the ABS fuse box, etc.

As DeSchlong already stated ABS doesn't help you stop any quicker (in a lot of cases it increases stopping distance) A better idea would be to get some Integra front knuckles and calipers as well as the master cylinder, brake booster and proportioning valve from a '94 - '97 Integra RS.
