so i have a 95 hatch, one of my low beams burnt out and ive been trying to find a replacement but i cant find one.. no where i try has a light that is even close to what i have..even honda.. but im stumped because as far as i know my headlight housings are factory.. all the lights ive looked at have the same connector, but the flange that holds it in the housing is much bigger.. mine is about 1 inch in diameter, the factory ones are like 1 1/2 to 2 inches...any ideas as to what kind of light i may have or where i could get a replacement?

just go to kragen or autozone and ask them.. it is most likely HB2/9003

no its not the hb2/9003..thats what they gave me for a replacement, and thats exactly what the OEM lights look like, but yet again the flange is too big for the housing..
every light that kragen carries with a plug on the end has a big flange for mounting..
why would mine have such a little flange?

just google imaged h4h bulbs, it looks like they have both large and small flanges but the small flange one would be the right one, it looks exactly the same.. any suggestions on where to go about finding one?

 

Are your lens plastic? If they are, then you have H4H bulbs.

they are h4h. so i looked them up and it seems H4 is the usdm light and h4h is for the jdm light..so where could i get that light? could honda order jdm lights..im in a smaller town that doesnt really have a whole lot as far as car shops, is that something i could order online?

 

Online from someplace like optauto.com or ebay.

 

There should be a part number on the bulb you are trying to replace. Find it, look it up then shell out the cash. If there is no part number on the old bulb then you have a craptermarket bulb/housing. GL
