i have a 98 gsr and the idle is operating backwards. when i start the car the idle drops to 500rpm and barely stays running and once the engine warms up to temp...the idle comes up to about 1000rpm. if its about 45 degrees and below, the car will die on start up and in order to keep it running i have to hold the rpms up. ive already replaced the idle air control valve and that didnt solve the problem. a buddy of mine said it could be my coolant temp sensor operating backwards but that just doesnt seem right to me. does anybody know what could be wrong?
