me and my friend just did a ls vtec in a crx, we kept it obd0 at first and it ran but once you step on the gas it dies and it was backfiring bad, so i told him to convert it to obd1

so i soldered the whole obd1 ecu plugs on and it runs and idles just fine, but once you step on the gas it dies, if you unhook the map sensor it will run...

its throwing a code 10 for the iat but i am stumped everything runs good but only the cel for code 10 iat sensor.... its pissing me off it took me 2 hours to cut and solder and heat shrink the whole ecu harness

anyone have any ideas?

were using obd1 p28 with a chip obd1 gsr distributor...

also with the map sensor uhooked it will run but misses bad from 1000 rpm to 3000 but once u get past 3000 rpm it suddenly runs fine anyone have a ****ing clue, ive been working on this car for 3 days now and its pissing me off 3 nights were overnight till 7 am tryin to get it t run correctly...

could it be the fuel filter??? i am stumped my wiring is dead on but it doesnt wanna drive

also i want to say the same problem was there before we converted to obd1 i thought the distributor was bad because it really didnt want to idle but now it idles but thats it cant drive the car or anything unless you unhook the map sensor... i have replaced it 3 times with working ones same problem

 

i fixed it, it was an external map sensor and there was no vacume at the throttle body so i ran the vacume line to the intake manifold it runs good now..

just misfires when full throttle, and sometimes under 2k it sounds like a suby

 

told him, should have kept using my obd0 ecu and dizzy!!
