Default Slipping while driving

A few days ago on the highway I noticed my car was starting to bounce and then all of a sudden in 5th my rpms' went up and the car wasn't going anywhere. I pulled over and inspected everything and it all looked ok so I started to drive slowly in the slow lane figuring I just maybe hit a bump and it threw off my linkage.

The whole car started to do the wobbling feeling again just once and then was normal for the 20 miles I had to go. The next day, it started doing it consistently. I always pushed the clutch in and the car would bounce more. If I don't push in the clutch and let the rpm's rev up, it eventually goes normal again and catches.

Does this seem like a clutch problem? I don't think a clutch would cause the car to shake unless it's grabbing and not grabbing quickly? There is also some noise I can hear, sort of like clanking and it only does it when it's slipping.

I also tried replacing the passenger axle since the boot was ripped and some grease flew out but that didn't obviously help

Thanks for any replies

If its free revving, replace the clutch.

So is the car wobbling from "clutch chatter". What throws me off is that the car still wobbles when the clutch is disengaged and I am slowing down to a stop without the brake. I guess shaking would be a better term

Clutch isn't fully disengaging or you have another problem (axles, suspension, alignment, wheels/tires/brakes).

I'll have to try adjusting my clutch cable tomorrow. Hopefully the cable is just too tight but if it is my clutch that is slipping, I hope the damages isn't too bad because it has slipped about 10 times for about one second intervals each time.

Thanks for the quick replies, you've helped me out a few times.
