Default project "D-serious?" 400whp+ d16z6

The customer want a 400whp this summer D16z6.

Then a custom camswap, new fullrace topmount header and a BW s259 in the autom to try to break the 500whp barrier.
so here is the build.

The specs are

d16z6 stock sleeves
cp pistons
eagle rods
supertech valvetrain
supertech blockguard
arp studs
rc injectors
ported head stage 3 job by us

First turbo setup.
Ebay header
ebay turbo (t3-t04e .63a/r) copy
3" dp
skunk 2 IM
65mm TB
stock cams

second(upgrade)
Customcams
fullrace proAM header
BW s259 turbo

Old engine with tear and wear..

Inspection of the bought parts..

Meashured blueprinted and assembled

All springs were tested and had equal tension and height

The parts and the car..

This is really a sight lol..!

Some parts added to the block and block guard installed.

The Head half done

Head and block assembled

Finally the Bad *** and his bigger brother..

Nah he said the customer will be swapping over to a Top Mount Manifold sometime after this initial setup..right now he is using the Ebay Manifold.

This build is looking really good so far...Awesome work! Don't let big brother spool up to close to his little brother..he might suck his lil bro up

Thats right, the customer was not difficult to convince after he saw the proAM manifold we had from them...

Thanks man, We do our best every time and hope that the numbers are with us this time too.

Yes, I was afraid bigbro was going to eat him, so I sat a box of sparkplugs between them for him to eat instead. Before I left the workshop..
lol..!

Yeah Fullrace has a very SEXY lineup of parts. And hopefully those sparkplugs will hold big brother over. BTW check your PMs atec.

I know there hit and miss. And I don't intend to start an ebay turbo flaming threadjack. Was just wondering what your expertise opinion was on them?
Im not an ebay fan myself, we have done some mods to the obx header, shortened and added a plate under the WG.

If the parts dont hit 400, we change to F-R parts..instant!

Very nice. We had a customer overseas w/ a very similar Z6/S259 setup that made that power fairly easy w/ a very nice power ban to go with it.

Good luck w/ it.

Yes I have big believes for the Bullseye BW unit, and cant wait to compare it, but for now the ebay stuff will do for him, He has another car spent around 50k on and He wants to complete that before adding more $ on this..

Thank you man, hope it will produce 400+ even though its not the BW unit yet..

Some new pics... we are lacking of the camseal so we have not added the timing belt.. have to time the engine while in the car.. time is short, on monday we have a new car that needs attension, so we needed to get to work here..

http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w...teengine14.jpg

Clutch and flyweel added

Going to add wires and mock everything up tomorrow:

the car looks redicilous, rusty, and a colishion damage in the rear.. but when you open the engine bay it screams BLING!!! just as we want it
lol

weird that the hatch has power steering, must be he added it or something!

looks like a decent start and as soon as he gets some real turbo parts on there it should be a beast of a D series

Actually No, the powersteering is original...Its not a Dx, its a VX D15 vtec-e(EDM VEi)
powersteering from factory

I think the ~2100lbs civic will be pretty fast if we exeed 400whp

ahh the only model hatchbacks here with power steering are the si models, every other model has a manual rack

X2. I removed all the P/S junk a long time ago on my EJ1 and looped the rack and even in parking lots its not an issue to me. Gives a much better feel of the road at cruising speeds as well without the P/S.

Car/Engine are looking good to man. Great progress!
