replacing leaking fuel lines 99 v6
anyone know if this is a big or hard job?looks easy enough by pics but that usually isn't the case.lol.
i'm dripping under the driver seat and can see the lines are BADLY rusted.
is it as easy as removing the protective plastic and unclipping the connections and replace???
i haven't jacked it up yet to have a real good look but i can't see where they connect from the engine compartment view or underneath.
if it's not that bad of a job i'd like to do it myself and save labor costs,i'm sure the 2 lines cost here in canada will be much more than i've seen them listed on sited in the u.s.
so is it a big job or a joke, once it's started it's kinda late to decide to bring it to a mechanic without a tow.lol.
just thought i'd add that today is a holiday here (remembrance day) so nothing is open to get more info myself,i however have to work but need the money so it's ok i guess.

to save cost and time, depending on how the rest of the fuel line looks, you could always cut out the bad section of the line and install a new section of line with compression fittings.
that was the original plan but they are BAD,we use a lot of salt in the winter here.i just figured with the quick connectors used it might actually go quick and easy.
the only other option would be a piece of hose and clamps but that might collapse the line when the clamps are tight.unfortunately,a compression fitting would not work due to their condition. but thanks for the feedback.

here's an update...........at the garage.mechanic said that all lines are toast including brake lines and suggested to throw out the plastic slush/salt holder that caused the problem.4 hrs labor.....bend over.
