Icon2 Tein H-tech + Koni SP3 = Smoothe dropped ride?

Hi, i just got a set of used koni yellow sp3's (5 perch heights per shock). I want my car to ride like a cadillac ( comfortable basically) but still have about an inch of gap between my 14" rims and 65 series tires.

I know h. techs don't drop much, but will placing the koni yellow spring perch on its lowest setting for all shocks help me achieve a bump absorbing smoothe ride, with that dropped look? What would be the downsides? should i be looking at other springs?

Currently i ride on blown oem shocks with nuespeed race (yellow springs).
It's pretty comfy actually, till i hit a bump, at speed, while turning.

Why don't you just keep the nuespeed race springs and move the perch up higher?

That was the original plan, but i noticed that the main reason the car still rides comfortably is mainly because of the 65 series tires, not so much the suspension ( Blown shocks + stiff NS Race springs should not equal comfy).

I will have to ride on Koni yellows and NS race initially anyway, until I can afford to buy H techs, and yes the perches are at their highest setting to accomodate this temporary set up. If i notice the ride is nice and smoothe, then yes, i will keep the koni yellow NS race setu up, but if not, then I plan to get H.techs, but only if HT members think the outcome will be a smoothe, soft, dropped ride ( like the VIP guys do it in JP)

from my experience, koni's dont do well with lower spring rates.

try illuminas that adjust compression and rebound simultaneously.
