i picked up a EG6 and these are the mods, B18a1 block bore .40 over, oversize ctr pistons, acl bearings, micro polish crank,ctr crank pulley, p72 head,p72 headbolts,proffesional intake manifold,68mm TB, virgin p72 ecu............................. what i have been reading is this set up is very bad news. too much compression?
please give me some input on this, car runs good, little bit of white smoke on starup and if i rev it hard. i have a stock GSR motor sitting, is it jus worth droppin that in? thanks guys

 

Im far from an expert, but with proper tuning and enough octane youll be fine.

 

Its a lot of compression for pump gas, so keep that in mind when you tune it. You are going to properly tune it, right?

 

Man I hope so, what gets me is the stock ecu he mentioned.

 

yes it came with a stock p72, the guy told me it pulls strong with a chipped p28, but i know it doesnt matter without a proper tune, im here down in socal and we only have pissgas 91 octane, where can i get a good tune?

 

be conservative with the timing and with proper tune should work fine personally I love ctr pistons!!!
