ya but the condensation turns into water and water and oil dont mix i just put a ball valve on mine and im going to just drain it my self. but i made mine with a saftey so say im making a run down the track and for some reason this run it wants to push alot of oil well i made it so it wont return it to the motor unless it spits 2 qt into the catch can and then it will start to put it back in the motor ill have pics up when its back from the powder coater

if it in your catch can i can promise you its all ready in your motor. on high hp motor the catch cans allow the blown by oil to drain back in the block. there is really nothing there to prevent any condensation from entering back into the block.

mine had a return with a valve on it & it T backed in where the turbo return went in. but in theory if u set it up right u shouldent get much oil in it.
used to fill it every pass then went with 10an lines & i could make 8 passes before it even read on my scale

i feel the same way which is why i have a gallon sized catch can that i drain whenever i feel like, i've seen the watery crap drain out and why it may not be harmful, its almost like one of those situations where people say...."its a headgasket, why reuse it when its that cheap of insurance"
Well, its just **** your motor didn't want in the first place lol, so why REUSE IT.

blow by has alot to do with how your motor is set up as you all ready know. if you really concerned with this moisture getting back in your motor get a moroso catch with the petcock on the bottom.

These tend to over flow a lot more then the large ones, specially if you have any sort of blow by.
I've noticed now that I heat the oil system in my motor I see a lot less condensation in the catch can. On a side note I leave the oil heater plugged in almost all the time now.
I have a sumped can that drains back, I figure if it came out of the motor, it'l go back in. Its nice to have a maintenance free catch can. I never seen anything more than oil residue in it, never water or anything foreign.
