Default Clunking sound when putting car into gear

Has anyone experienced a kind of a clunking sound when you put the car into any gear from neutral? If im in neutral and then push the clutch in and put the car in any gear, it makes like a light clunking sound. It does it in any gear...but..if i do it slower, like push clutch in, wait 2 sec and put into gear, it doest do it. Is that a normal thing?

yeah the s2000 does that. Not horrible noise but i actually like the feel of it getting into gear. The rsx feels numb compared to it. also, did you get the owner's manual from your other thread i got for ya?

and if your wondering, the vagina hole is on the front bumper, where that little cover is on the passanger side. they were gonna leave it open, but they decided at the last minute to cover it up so no one got offended

Yeah... the car even slightly moves a little...but if you put it in gear slow it doesnt do it. Why does it do it in the first place?

i read somewhere that it's the differential. if you hold your clutch a little longer before putting it into 1st, it doesn't happen.

So is that an indication of something bound to happen, or is it completely normal?

Nah it's normal. no worries. Just make sure you are up to date on the fluids. I usually change my tranny and diff every 15000

Its just a slight clunk when you do it kinda quick..if you press the clutch in and wait 3 sec it doesnt do it

Another thing too is you really have to let the fluid warm up to get the best shifts. In the morning when I start the car i usually let it run about 5 min and when i shift into 2nd there is always a slight grind until its completely warm. Im not sure why..none of my other cars did that. Im having all my fluids changed anyway (tranny, diff) just because i dont know what the previous owner did to the car maintenance wise...eventually down the line, im gonna do the gm syncromesh..i heard a lot good about it. Anyone do the syncromesh yet? How do you like it?
