Default CUNHA CLM motorsports

I'm not a big honda guru so I don't know much about this car, but I have kept my eye on it since the fall nats at etown and now at the world cup finals at MIR. I didn't have the chance to talk with the owner but maybe you guys could tell me about it? Obviously blew up at etown last round, but was deff a top competitor for miller. What about at WCF?? I saw it smoking a little around the 1000' and then shut it down, Then someone told me it blew up yet again??

First engine (first 8 sec pass) oil filter backed out lost oil pressure hurt the bearings

Second engine (loaner from MB Racing) headlight scoop pushed the boost up a little to much and maxxed out the injectors which blew the head gasket and he continued to run it like that to make it to the finals with all the water drained out. The things you do with 10k on the line.

And this past weekend there was a alternator failure that was dropping voltage at high rpm's which isnt good for the fuel pump so it caused it to lean out and blew something havent opened it up yet probaly a piston. Just little bs hear and there thats been doing it in. Itll be out running strong for next season. He met his goal of running 8's so hes happy.

Looking foward to seeing it back in action.

I lost lke 3 alts last year. I would of lost the motor from it but I wasnt pushing the boost.... I'm glad I fixed that issue before it got costly.

My car wasnt at wcf's but I was there watching and hanging out. Funds are a little low this year and I race when I can. My family and kids come first.

Yea it was on a 8 sec run again went 5.9@133 in the 1/8 which was a little bit quicker than the 8.82 pass from etown. Yea the alternator sucked but what can you do. Makes it worse like Rick said when your pushing the limits of the fuel system already a little hick up like that will do some damage. Time to get ready for next year.
