Hey guys, first post here; here's some quick info. My name is Dontoh, I'm living in central New York (45 min from Syracuse), bought a 95 Hatch about a month and damnnn did it need work.

I've done most of it myself (lights, missing screws, washers bolts etc) but I wanna blow some paint on it. I basically go to school in a body shop so money isn't a problem since it'll be free. The problem is, I've got NO idea what I want to do. At first, I wanted to do a solid black and powder coat my rims with red beauty trim. The interior would have a clean JDM look, all black with minor red things (floor mats, shift ****/boot, etc)

I liked it for a bit, but there were too many ifs and buts, since a CF hood coming and smoked taillights don't stand out as much as I'd like on black. We paint a chevy blazer today, it was two tone (pearl white and this nice gold) I didn't catch the name of the gold but what would ya think about the same idea except instead of red, gold.

metalics arent usually a big fan fave on hondas. i would personally look at OEM colors and maybe modify it with a pearl mix or something.

 

you should stick with black n red! its my "theme" too

 

I'm partial to pearl white as it's pretty easy to clean and maintain. My friend's RSX is some pearl blackish looking paint (OEM?) and goddamn is it sexy. Perfect black and blue sparkle but it is an absolute bitch to keep clean.

josiah -I love the black and red. I'd love to have a nice clean jdm lookin interior but damn I'm just sick of seeing black and red, I know it's a bit contradicting but seriously haha. they're nice colors, but unless you have a bright red, or a type of burgundy that you can really make look crisp and stand out I just don't think it's worth it.

boggie & box -gunna look up some pearl colors and see if there are any unique oem colors that'd look good. it's gotta be unique enough to turn heads, but common enough to find parts without having to paint everything I buy

My brother just started his motor bay today, Titan orange, It changes from bronze to a golden orange. I love the blazer color.

 

Is that gravel guard on the bottom of that blazer door?(AKA rocker slopper).
I painted a bowling ball that purple color before.

 

damn dude that's a really nice color. I wish I could see it, wonder how noticeable the color change is in the sun. and yeah the blazer is awesome haha, he's putting a purple pin stripe and I'm trying to talk him into putting a texas longhorns logo on the hood. it's gunna be such a joke when its done lol

You could do white neons. They match every color but NO to the decals

 

I'm diggin' the black and red feel. I plan on something similar to that on my hatch, just have other priorities right now. Love the Strange Music rep btw.

 

yeah dude, that's a good idea actually. like jeeze, that made my day, was getting so frustrated cuz I'd have to paint it something other than gold cuz of it haha. white would look hot. I think LEDGLOW.com has 3mil color ones I could pick up anyway. thanks a lot..

^^^too much gold IMO. not a fan. mix in some black or CF pieces and were in business.

 

yeah, going with black. I'd love to do cf, but when it comes down to it, it's expensive. wish I could.

yea i agree darker thats just the only gold hatch i could find lol i like the 1 off of fast and furious that rides around with no hood!

 

what do you think it would look like with the same gold as the eg about, except with black metal flakes? it'd darken it too
