hey guys ive been looking around and found that most topic's that talk about transmission ids and my promblem is my clutch went on it and ive been looking around to see what kind of ttranny i have the only thing i see on the tranny is a gold tag it say j1 and some have told me, that s1 is the same and iv read its out of a 90-91 intrgra xsi (DA6) IF THIS IS true can anyone shine some light on it I need too get me a clucth cause trying to tell the places were they sell them that its a jdm tranny i get no where..... also if anyone now a place too send a transmission too get rebuilt or know any facts on the cable tranny if they have the same internals as a hydro tranny

 

no they dont the us comparison for the j1 is the 90-91 cable one. the 92-93 ys1 cable trannies share similar parts with the hydro trannies.
90-91 small spline(a1,j1,y1,s1) need us spec 90-91 clutch. the 92-93 clutchs can use anly 92-00 b series clutch disk. the pp are all the same.
