I GOTTA B16A W/JDM CTR PISTONS,. NOW IV'E HAD IDLING ISSUES SINCE THA SWAP, LIKE A FEW YEARS BACK. IVE TRIED A NEW IACV, I HAVE NO FIV CUZ THA BLOX INTAKE MAN. NO AIR IN COOLANT SYSTEM. TPS IS SET AT .5 CLOSED THROTTLE , . I DESPRATELY NEED SOME GOOD POINTERS HERE. THA IDLE FLUCTUATES ABOUT EVERY SECOND AND HALF DOWN TO ABOUT 200K THEN BACK UP TO ABOUT 1200K, WHEN WARM. PROBLEM IS KINDA INTERMITTENT. OH AND JUST TODAY I NOTICE THAT IF I PUMP THE BRAKE PEDAL WHEN THE IDLE IS BOUNCING THEN IT SEEMS TO SETTLE DOWN AND SUSTAIN ITSELF, HMMM....VACUUM TROUBLE?? .....PLEASE HELP A HOMIE OUT!!!! check the brake booster vacuum line make sure it doesnt have a leak. or u might have an internal leak inside ur brake booster. cuz if it stops when u step on the brake then that might be it. good luck

 

 

i thought about the booster being the problem but it never idled like that when i had my single cam Si motor in.????? can i be the check valve maybe?? ima check tha booster n e ways. thanx dark teg..

 

yea check the booster valve if not check the booster hose. i have an idle problem and mine started bouncing when i let go of the brake . i check everything from iacv to fitv vacuum lines ,coolant ect u name it. up to this day i havent found the problem but heres how i get rid of it. i just drive with my lights on and it will not idle at all. its weird. but even if i dont drive with the lights on it only idles once in a while then stops. but with lights on it wont do it at all. good luck
