I have an article comparing the R with the Celica GTS from 2001. I'll have to see if I can find that and throw it up on here.

IIRC the reprint of this article was included with brochures that were requested by mail. They might have also been included with other Acura literature at the dealer.

I still remember like it was yesterday walking into a local grocery store, I went by the magazine rack and the ITR was on the front cover of SCC. At the time I was driving a 91 Suzuki Swift GT and becoming a Honda freak fast. Never in a million years thought I'd own one of these things one day just a short 5 years later. I feel like a computer idiot but I'm not good a posting pics but if I can figure it out maybe I can dig that magazine out and post som pics from that issue. That was also my first issue of SCC I ever bought. The rest is history.

 

Was it the one where they tested the ITR against a modified red GS-R?

This has been posted many times before, but it's a definitely a good thread. This link actually has a scan of the Celica GTS vs. ITR article in it that I had mentioned earlier.

 

Heck man it's been so long since I held that mag in my hand and now, I CAN'T FIND THE DARN THING!!! I'll find it sooner or later.

 

I still have that mag, I can t believe its been that long.

 

Thats the article that got me to go test drive a Type-R, which led to me immediately purchasing a Type-R. My mind's eye can still see the 5 brand new cars lined up in the back lot, and the sales manager asking me to pick the one I wanted.

 

good find, now all we need is someone to critique everything in the article and tell us how much better an s2000 is.
