how come my vtec is weak?
what would cause a weak vtec engagement? I can hardly feel my vtec kick in I can hear it though but when it kicks in its like a SOHC. What can be wrong with this thing? Its a b20b block with a b16a head everything came from hmotorsonline.
stock b16 cams... when you guys say tune what do you guys really mean? Well my friend kinda messed around with my vtec controller but thas about it.

You guys are so dumb... thanks for the help anyways. vtec fluid, muffler bearing what else stupids.
Now thanks for the real help checked those too filter on the soleniod is clean and the oil pressure gauge is being installed soon so i can check the pressure. As for ecu its a chipped p28 purchased here from a member of this forum.
Weak VTEC engagement means one of two things:
1) you don't have a VTEC head
b) your engine is properly tuned
If you want to feel VTEC hit hard the best thing to do is get a VAFC and set crossover to 7k rpm. Alternatively, you could accelerate at 1/2 throttle and then nail the gas when the engine gets to ca. 5000 rpm.

Dood it works. Also I don't mean to thread jack but could some1 tell me why VTECH engages at 5700 rpm on my GS-R. Does the lady who had it before me put in a Type R ECU?
