i cant find the timing mark on a friends f20a

 

its a quick question...is it on the crank pulley or is it in that hole above the "f20a" that shows the flywheel

 

There should be a mark in that hole that you're talking about and also a mark on the cam gear to match up with the back cover behind the cam gear.

 

how would the mark in the hole look like?

 

I'm not sure but I've read in the manual which says that there's mark on the flywheel to somewhere like on the block or something. I'm not sure but how I did it was took off the crank pulley then there's the timing gear that sits wayy in the back that bottoms out on the block. That timing gear has a timing mark to align with a dimple on the block.
