Default too many coats

well bought a eg hatch and the engine bay has been painted at least twice. and definitely would like to take off some paint before painting again. what is the easiest way to do this? should sand blast? soda blast? or chemical strip it? as much info as you can would be great. thanks.

If the paint is sticking good why not paint over?

well some spots are very uneven and lots of imperfections in the paint. should i just sand it down by hand? some people have told me to soda blast it but ive never used that stuff before.

i would take some paint off because an excuse amount of paint can cause paint to crack and peal. if i was to do my engine bay again i would never sand it again. If you have the ability to have it blasted i would take that route. chembased paint removers work good but are really messy and sometimes expensive. good luck and post pics!!
