MAP sensor difference between CRX and B-series motors???
I swapped in a B18C1 motor into my CRX. I removed the firewall mounted MAP sensor, and am using the GSR's throttle body-mounted MAP sensor. It plugs in fine. But, when I start the motor it revs to 600rpm then dies. If I unplug the MAP sensor and start it, the motor idles and revs fine. BUT, it DUMPS fuel into the motor, so mucht that it actually spits out the exhaust manifold. And yes, the motor has spark.
Is the wiring any different from the 2 MAP sensors?

If you aren't useing the right ECU that could definatly be whats causing your problem. The only thing I could tell you is if your running the CRX ECU get rid of it and use the Integras other wise it might be a problem in the ECU your useing. Yes the wiring is diferent one is for a single cam engine and the other is for a dual cam engine. Hope this helps.
Hey try this... use the map that was on the firewall.. and not the Throttle body. and the ecu can make it do that... get at least a ecu out of a 86-89 intergra
that shoulnt make a difference. the map sensors have the same output, you have other problems. try setting the idle up.
Figured it out guys. It turns out from a previous wiring error by me (read the pinouts from the wrong direction), I managed to switch the wires around of pins C15 and C16. After correcting this, I am able to run the motor fine and not get a code 3. Thanks for the help.
