Is there now a resolution to axle failures while being slammed?

Since it seems as if there are now more slammed Honda's than ever before, I can only think that there is now a solution to the axle (and sometimes you hear about tie rod end clearance issues) problems of the past. My guess is that people are using a shorter axle? Some kit that i've never been told about?
Perhaps there are simply that many more people wadding up axles than ever before, and not that anyone is actually fixing old problems?
The fact of the matter for me is that I have the Eibach pro-kit on a 00 GSR (integra) and my upper control arm is approximately 2 inches from contacting the underside of the shock tower. How some of these guys are riding around as low as they are just makes me think they are setting the UCA against the shock tower all of the time. Uhhhhhhhh! lol HOW?????

Many people cut and make taller the sheetmetal on the shock tower like this
