Icon3 2000 ITR with PCT pistons

I just bought this ITR less than a week ago. The guy told me it has Skunk 2 pro series valve train with stock itr cams, pct pistons, skunk 2 exhaust and stock intake and header. He said don't drive it hard on the stock ecu because of the pistons. My question is, what should be my next step mod wise to get it running good and occasionaly to redline? Oh yea highest octane is 90

One option he gave me was to buy his hondata s300 p28 ecu with harness for $400 and get it tuned. Is that a good price?

I didn't realize how bad ctr/pct pistons were until I searched for it. BTW this isn't a daily driver or a race car. It's a pleasure car for me and will only be used in the summers. I just don't want any worries if I decided to take it to the local track.

Get it tuned ASAP. That stock ECU will be trouble with the PCT pistons.
As for the price for the S300, that is a good price. Make sure it is ok. I'm about to sell my P28 with an S300 for $500 and it doesn't even have a harness.
Why wasn't the car tuned orginally?
Since you have the Skunk2 Pro VT you may as well get the PRO1 cam shafts.

I think the s300 was tuned with some endyne stage 2 cams which are no longer in the car. I didnt want to make it faster, I just wanted a nice clean ITR to drive around with, thats why I havent bought new cams.

EDIT: I just checked it, it is in fact an s300. It had the USB cutout on the side with a Hondata Stickers covering it.

Will I be ok just driving it and keeping it under 5k rpms?

put some pro 1 cams in there, they'll help bleed off some compression on the small lobe and make lots more power.

So some cams and a tune. anything else? Sucky thing is theres one dyno and its super expensive and IDK the rep of the shop as far as tuning honda's goes.
