will a stock si exhaust fit my stock sohc ex coupe or do i need b series headers for it to fit and line up properly??

 

I'm wondering the same thing. I've seen companies that say their exhausts fit 92-00 2 door and 4 door civics. I've also seen companies say "will fit 96-00 ex/si". It's a bit confusing for me also.

is there any mods needed of any sort ..or will it just sit and align nicely to my stock sohc headers?

 

it will line up fine. the only thing that may be a lil bit different is where it goes over the LCA in the rear and the hangers are a bit lower. other then that it will bolt up fine.

You sure about that? D16y8 and b16a headers are the same length?

 

all exhaust systems from the cat back are universal on civic coupes 92-00. look up the apps for ordering a catback system and it will say 92-00 civic coupe/sedan

alright man heres the thing i own a 99 ex and a 99 si all the parts are basically the same parts all the way around except motor and tranny all parts bolt up the same same everything almost all hondas are like that some integra parts work on civics SOME not all

 

Not all catback systems are exact fits. I can name a few that we had to modify to fit

 

This guy is exactly right. I have a 97 ex and I have 99 si cat back on my car. The hangers are slightly off but it will go on fine.

I used a 99-00 Si Exhaust (from the header to the muffler) on my old 97 DX civic with no problem (DX Civic with an EX exhaust manifold).

 

did u use ur ex cat or an si cat??
