B20Z/B20B into EG 4door
Hi guys, Iam on "low budget" so, i dont know, what to do, was thinking of building a D-series, or to get started for B20VTEC... so, the idea I was thinking of was to get trany, axels, and put into my eg 4door B20B/Z stock engine from 99-00 CRV, as I understood, I need b16/b18 IM, and for start, run b20b/z stock
then as I got money, put on VTEC head and go on
So, the question is should I do it that way with b20??? someone got stock b20 nonvtec in their civics??? how is it going? and what i need for swap? I got OBD-1 harness in my car, b20 non vtec run obd1? or I will need jumper harnes? so please, chime in, and say what you think of my posibilities...
The budget for start is ~1500$ In my country, I can get Y21 for ~400$, or S9B with LSD for 550$, axels for 280$, and the b20 stock engine from 99-00 for ~ 600$...
Thanks alot

can I ask where your from?
Iam asking because most of the HT members are from the U.S and there laws, availability of parts, prices can differ very dramatically to people like you and me (Iam from Germany)
I would almost bet on it though that you are better off just purchasing a sir2 b16 swap and just switching the bottom end for a b20z one with the required parts (crvtec kit)
however you dont stand a chance in my opinion with 1500, 2500-3000 would be more realistic unless you stay non-vtec,buy an obd1 ls swap and simply swap the ls longblock for a b20z,then youd be roughly 1500 but with a longer gearbox and less hp.
P.S I have an ek4 (b16) with bolt-ons and an eg here with a non-vtec b20 high comp pretty much runs even with me at 15s 1/4 mile
