Well I think my alternator finally went. I was driving to class just a few minutes ago and the alternator was making a lot of noise like usual and the it just stopped and my oil and voltage lights came on. But then they immediately went back off and the car was driving normally. Luckily I was at school and got it to the parking lot so I could get out and take a look. There is oil all over the right side of the engine where the alternator is. This is my question, Why would there be oil everywhere, maybe its not my alternator. Where is the oil pump in this car? Anyone have any suggestions before I have to take it to the shop to figure out whats wrong? Its an 88 dx.
