changed the plugs and the wires are getting spark(trust me i know ) the car just turns over and wont start?? any ideas??

note: wounldnt start before i changed the pulgs;

 

May well be the dreeaded Main Relay. Try turning the key to the ON position and watch the check light-it should go out after a few seconds and you will hear the relay and the fuel pump run for 2 seconds. Once the light is out-try starting the car-NO start=bad relay usually. If this is not the problem then you may well have a bad ignitor or cap & rotor. To check the ignitor do the usal crank the engine with one of the plug wires disconnected but positioned so you can see if there is spark (an old plug will do this for you if it is grounded).

 

i never even thought about the relay?? but i know its getting spark i got shocked but ill check the relay .. it might somthing fuel related .. if so thats really going to suck

Oh indeed it will... I dropped my tank no less than FIVE times. Ayways, spend some $$$ and get a B&M Adjustable FPR and gauge, or get just the gauge so you can see your fuel pressure when you prime it.

 

Check your grounds..... did you try push starting it? if it starts then its electrical

that, also when your car doesnt start, is it real hot out?or it doesnt start right after a short trip?if so then main relay. this may sound stupid but check your alternator. one time my car was doing the same thing come to find out my alternator froze and the belt was just spinning around the pulley?

 

can you hear your fuel pump turn on and off when you turn the car on?? it sounds like a fuel issue since you are getting spark so check to make sure the fuel pump is working.
