how do you make a b20vtec?

 

i'm guessing a b20 block with a vtec head?

 

yeah, then u have to tap the head and get a vtec conversion kit, its more expensive then u think, use a stock b20 head gasket though, works better.

Those 89 preludes have the wrong b20 block. You want the one from a crv

 

You need a B20 Block from a CRV...and either a b16, gsr, or type r head. Thats just the beggining....you also need a type r water pump,b20 head gasket, oil pump, timing belt, and many other crap...It's alot of work. And i would suggest getting the intake manifold of the exact head that you get.

 

Any vtec water pump will work since they are all 22 teeth. With a vtec water pump use a GSR timing belt.
