So my civic ep3 all of a sudden started losing power electrical and mechanical all off a sudden. I figured it was the alternator so I puchased a new one. After changing it I started the car up and eventually loss power again. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? oh and the battery is new Thanx

 

You changed an alt with out checking voltage comming into the battery? A voltmeter is your friend....did you check the voltage going into the back of the alt? What cel's are you getting?....get them read.

 

Might be a problem in electrical system, maybe a short. But idk.
