I was looking into the D15b from Japan for my EF hatch. I've seen some controversy over USDM parts not fitting the motor. Is there any difference in part size for any given part in the motor or tranny. Just didn't want a motor that would be a bitch to find parts for if need be....

 

there is a d15b non vtec and a d15b vtec...which one are you referring to...!!

That does help a bit but are the part sizes from the the jdm vti d15b different from that of a US d15b.....someone was saying that the rods may be a different size or the flywheel is completely different and may be hard to find.

 

Just letting you know there are not only two different motors labeled d15b. You got nonevtec, vtec, 3stagevtec, vtec-e. I'm sure there are more lol. So this will be a very hard question to answer

 

Thats crazy......i will have to see which exact motor this is. I know its vtec. Its out of the jdm eg vti. But I will do some searching on the motor specs.
