ok here it is, my 91 4door is running now, I changed all gaskets and did the clucth and all, but my car still smokes pretty bad, Probably the head? RIGHT? Well i have money and i want to do the z6 head swap, i have a d15b2 dpfi 5speed, my buudies deal with the GSR fell through so i just want to do the z6 head swap. I want to do it right because my wife and son will be driving in it ALOT. but if anyone can point me in the direction to get to a ENTIRE PARTS LIST, wireing harness type, etc...It would be MUCH appreciated, i have looked online for the past 2 hours and found different types of mini me swaps, but didnt see a full parts list for a b2 block and a z6 head!

What color is the smoke? If it's blue, you're most likely burning oil which means it probably needs rings, a headswap would not help at all. If it's white smoke, you may be OK as long as the block is checked for cracks and the deck is checked.

 

its burning oil, i feel stupid because when the head was off i should of done the valve seals, but I do have $$$ to do a z6 head swap, and i am pretty sure i want to go that way, I mean a little more power couldnt hurt, right?

so I shall find a z6 swap, so if anyone close to orlando florida has a swap for sale, please hit me back!!! I need reliability because my wife and son will be in it alot!!

im not sure..... what rings?, It is def oil burning, it burns bad when i acclerate and it sucks because i dont have an exhaust on yet, when i bought it the exhaust was in the back, so its bare after the cat, HAHAHA my mom heard it backfire and almost hit the floor!!

Valve seals usually smoke really bad at startup then usually slows down ALOT. Bad rings will make the car constantly smoke, and usually smoke alot worse at higher RPMs.

Sounds like you just need to find a complete z6 motor in decent shape because if you swap heads right now, it's still going to smoke pretty bad.

I'm not trying to insult you at all, but if you don't know what 'rings' we are talking about, you may want to find someone to help you with the swap.

 

HAHAHA none takin bro, and i do have my brother helping me a BUNCH!!! he is the brains with the civics and all, but he has been at work so i have been trying to do some searching and asking around on my own to try and pick some things up, but it does smoke more when I flush it or accelerate into gears. so Im still picking up on civics and other things, This has been my first real build and I ****ING ROCKS!!!
Taking NOTHING and making it SOMETHING is just SICK!!

But I am looking for a z6 head if someone lives in orlando hit me up!!!
