Default door lock help

Ok so i had done a full power conversion in my 99 cx hatch a few years ago. The rear defroster ground was broken when i got the car and i finally fixed it. It still wasn't working, so i checked the fuse and it was blown. so i replaced the fuse and it blew right away. so there is a short in the line somewhere right? Now my power locks will not work at all. will the short somehow damage the control box? I checked all other fuses too and nothing was blown. What all runs with the door locks?

I checked the underhood fuse and it seemed ok, but i will check again later to make sure, i just glanced at it. i guess i will have to go through the entire car again and check for any breaks
