Default PLEASE HELP advice needed

Took the car to the track last night and it broke about 10 feet out.
quick rundown of the car. eg coupe with gsr motor and ls trans with welded diff. On 25x8.7 slicks.

OK....passenger side axel broke off inside the transmission. Like i pulled the axel out and it sheered clean off at the end of the splines.

Question, do i have to drill the axel, tap it and pull it out or can i pull the other axel and int shaft out and use a punch to tap it out?

Thanks a ton in advance!!!!

went ahead and pulled out the other axel and int shaft. Looked thru and there is a pin going thru the diff, figures. Found my skinniest longest screw driver and tried to get around the pin, no luck. Glance over and on my table was a stock battery tie down hook thing, made it work and knocked the knub out, going to get some lunch and put it back together.
