so today my sunroof started to fck up. it wont go to the up position on its own power. if i push the up button and assist by pushing on the sunroof upwards it goes up and retracts out to the full open position. and closing it its does on its own power. now my question is
-is the motor weakening?
-or do i need to oil it? if so how?

any help or input would be appreciated.

bump, same problem here. Not sure whats going on.

 

my accord does that, but thats because i broke some plastic piece up top, now if your's gotten old and cracked/rotted it could be the same issue, now on my integra, i haven't had any problem, just the common integra sunroof chatter when opening, but it wouldn't hurt to open it and inspect the track and make sure its not all clogged and dirty.. - dirt = resistance...

 

hmmm thanks. anyone else have input on this? having a DC nd a sunroof is pretty kool. none of my friends had sunroofs and mine not working, why they'd jus laugh at me and so would anyone else.

 

i agree with twentyhurtz. it's best to go check up on the rails and see what else needs some maintainance
