car is a 97 civic DX.

been running fine for about a month or two now, went to start it up this morning and it was dead...

i figured it was the battery so i put it on the charger, gave it a jump and it fired right up. drove it to class, turned it off, tried to start it again, and it wouldnt do a damn thing...

had someone come and jump the car but this time it still would start.

so i went out and bought a new battery, hooked everything up...still nothing.

it seems like theres a bad ground but we checked them all and they seem to be fine.

its weird, if you turn the key to the on position and the dash lights are dim, when you push the clutch in to crank it, some of the dash lights come on and there is a buzzing noise over by the ECU. (fusebox is relocated to glovebox)

however, when you let off the clutch the dash lights turn off and the buzzing/clicking noise stops...

please help! i need this car to get to work on Monday!

-Check for blown fuses in the hood fuse box.

-Clean the battery ground wire, the thermostat housing ground wire, and the transmission ground wire.

 

any fuses specifically that you think might be suspect?

i think i might just buy new wire and replace all the grounds
