Icon2 Starting from scratch. Want your opinion!

Hi all.
Well i just acquired through a recent purchase a 1990 ED Hatch. (EF is what most call it)
And I have a million ideas for what I can do to it, but I want to do somethings to it that Havent really been done... much.
As for the car specs... All stock with a short shifter, integra rear seats coilovers and 16 ebay rims. I got the car pretty cheap. So...

as for the poll...

What motor swap should I consider?
Looking for any advise whether its critisizm, educational or whatever, as long as one way or another, it is constructive.

Thanks.

Funny thing about that is I just gave away my last F22b motor. (Considering the price... it was definaltly a giveaway)
I can get another one of those dirt cheap though.
Thanks.

Honestly, anything but the stock motor will make me content. As far as budget, theres really no limit to it unless i have set plans and a time to have it done by. I estimate, regarless of my decision that it will take me about 6/12 months either way as long as everything goes right. I expect delays so thats why I'm very open to this.

Budget doesn't matter?

Budget still not matter?

This car will be stock with blacked out tail lights and no hubcap steelies in 3 years.

lol great!! only i say it will still have the ebay rims and bald tires... maybe some nos stickers for 10 hp..and maybe even a "universal air intake" from advance auto..
my advice, do a b16 if you actually have the means to do a engine swap

I like. D16 single cam bulit compared to b16. I hate b16 they are so disappointing. Either boost a single cam or bulid a high compression single cam beast

your post was pointless and there was no constructive critisizm. I'm done with you and I can care less if i'm in your fail boat.

Back on topic.

You really didn't look at it at all did you.

It's a 40k motor that lasts 50-200 hours.

I love that mindset.

you're right... i didnt look at the one on the main page that was linked. I insted browsed the site and saw what appeared to be a pretty decent 4 banger.. (http://www.h1v8.com/h2specs.html) by the specs. I didnt have much time to look into detail on the v8 as thats just not my flavor.

Nice try though.

Sweet... are there any oversteering issues? Have u driven the car in rain and had any problems? Also, about how much whp do you have with 10lbs of boost?

oversteering? huh? you mean torque-steer? LSD and equal length axles help in that department, but really any FWD with any respectable amount of TQ will torquesteer to a certain extent, no matter what countermeasures are taken.

no point in swapping man, waste of time in your case IMO.

d16 with vitara pistons and a quality turbo kit will give you more than enough power potential for street FWD.
