Ok, heres the deal. Car is bogging under load until it hits 2k. Once it hits 2k it clears up and runs find. Seems like a random dead miss under load before 2k. Boggs and occasional backfire. Making me think its a sensor that goes closed loop above 2k. Any ideas?

 

Any CEL? It might be your EGR system that needs cleaning/ replacing. Its known to cause a "bog" at lower RPMs. Check the faq if you decide to clean it, its there and easy enough, just make sure to get new gaskets

 

So your saying the EGR would make it have a dead miss? That would be a first for me. I'll try and see if cleaning it fixes anything.

 

Not entirely sure, i think though if all the ports are clogged except for one, then all the exhaust gas would be put into that 1 cylinder which would be too much and cause it to miss, atleast thats how it was explained to me... ha. Who knows... worth a shot its practically a free procedure (minus gasket costs) ha. Or wait until somone else chimes in...

 

Oh, and no CEL at all.
