Default Problem with Ksports

I just picked up a set of Ksports for my EG. I was told they are for an EG. I put the fronts on no problem, move to the back and they will not fit over the lca bushing! They are at least a 1/4" too narrow. I also tried them on a stock lca with the same results. I'm assuming these are for a different car, no idea really. any suggestions???

Also, if these were for the wrong application, does ksport sell just the bottom fork that I could thread onto my set? Thanks.

I think you got ones for a newer civic. You can either return them and get yours or some people just grind part of the bushing down since only like 1/8in

Thanks man, really helps out the post. The guy said he had them on his 93 coupe he was parting out and drove up in a 93 coupe along with the other parts he listed online. Just pulled them out of the garage right now and cant find a part number on them anywhere. I'm just called Ksport but they arent open quite yet, so I'll give em a shout in a few.

you dont need to bother calling them just look at the particular ksport setup you got, match the part number to the ones listed in the site below and you will find exactly what it is that you got...!!!

I just got off the phone with K sport and obviously you are not a rocket scientist because the coilovers don't have a part number on them. I was told they were taken off a civic coupe, civic coupe is what he was driving when I picked them up. Your sarcastic *** comment is really not needed.

I measured the fork opening and it is 1 5/8" and they told me they are for 88-91 honda. I had no idea that LCA's were different widths.

Thanks for your dandaman15, I think im gonna go ahead and just sell em and wait for another set.

I just got a PM from a member on here and it said the following:

"Those are for a EK. I am almost positive. That is the only application that came with a small rear lca bushing."

Could anyone with either a EF lca or a EK lca measure the fork opening for me so I can verify what these are before I repost them for sale? I don't want someone to be in the same boat that I am in now.

I know how to look up a part number..... There is NO PART NUMBER on the coilovers, that is the problem. I called K sport to confirm this, not to have them hold my hand and figure out what they are.

no need for the jack *** attitude...its only obvious that someone with intelligence would actually do research on a product before buying it then taking someone's word for it...all you had to say was they didn't have a part number listed on the coilovers and thats it.

its like if your buying a house and a real estate agent hands you a list of properties to look at and instructs you to put in a offer right away without seeing the place first...well just because you see pictures on paper doesn't mean that the house is in the same condition as on paper and it wouldnt be wise to go by the agents word since most are just in it for commission...you need to research the comps, the neighborhood, visit the property yourself and so on so on...its also kind of like when people bash on the noobs for not using the search button

I'm not going to argue with you. There is no part number, they look exactly like the EG setup, except the fork is slightly narrower. I have never owned a pair or ksports or had an ek so I had no idea. I really don't know how this could have been avoided except if I had called K sport first and got all the dimensions from there for an EG application and measured them on location. My bad for taking someones word that they had it on there EG and just pulled it off to sell vs my previous option. Thanks for everyones help.

i'm pretty sure they are for EK!!

I have a EK hatch, and was planning to swap (suspension and turbo motor/kit ) to EG chassis!!.. And that was one of the problems i had. It was too narrow for the EG arm/bushing.

Thank God you are selling these. Besides the fitment the other problem I see is that it says "Ksport" on the side of those coilovers.

I hear alot of mixed reviews of the k sports, I'm assuming you are one of the people that doesn't like them :-). Care to elaborate?

Seriously man search this forum, more than enough feedback. But I have driven a car that had them installed for about 2 years and it rode like crap because 2 of the 4 shocks blew. I knew the age of the suspension because I was the one who installed it from BNIB.
