(Searched) Simple H23 to JDM H22 questions
Some of the answers I found were not very clear or just lacking proof. Unfortunately I have no room to do the project myself so I'm having a local shop do the swap for me. I have recently purchased a JDM H22 with JDM ECU and LSD trans. So here are the questions.
1. My 96 Si is wired for VTEC so is it true that I only need to splice the one wire from the connector at the fire wall to the one next to the front right strut to get it to activate properly? (any pictures would be immensely helpful!)
2. Where is the pressure switch located at "IF" my JDM engine came with it?
3. My engine did not come with the H22 down pipe, will the H22 exhaust manifold bolt up to the H23 down pipe? If not what are some websites that sell just that part? I have done the search but they all come up as "turbo manifolds".
I might have a question or 2 more but my wife is kicking my *** to get up and watch Flash Forward

1. wire the vtec switch and solenoid from the ecu through the firewall to the switch and solenoid directly from the ecu its easier. pics are in the faqs how to wire vtec and something else.

Wrongo dongo on the DP. The installer just tried to mate it up and they're saying its not a fit. They're saying that the H22 flange is larger than the H23 flange. I'm hoping that they can just find a flange to buy and swap it out on the H23 side of the exhaust. Anyone know where I can purchase one thats not too expensive? Or a full DP? I've looked at the OEM sites, $450+ is just rediculous for such a small section. I might as well buy an EVO exhaust if I'm going to be spending half a grand.

I just did this to my 94 Si prelude.
The header/downpipes do not mate up, at all. I personally tested this.
The wiring is pre-existing, just splice them (mimic the JDM harness you get with your motor)

I didn't buy the engine harness w/ the motor & LSD tranny. Overall a good deal though $1945 for LSD trans, JDM H22 w/ intake and exhaust mani. I just wished that I found out about this ealier. Both the engine seller Co. and online resources said that it would fit. Now I have to wait so much longer for this to get done. I'm sick of driving my wife's 04 Odyssey
