h22 Crower Stage 2 Cams Discontinued???
Just wondering if any one has any info on this. Here's the story. 3 weeks ago I order my crower stage 2 cams from a shop in Miami and pay my $700 for them. Well I patiently wait and wait for them to arrive and they don't. Well today I get a call from the shop saying that a representative from Crower called to say they won't be able to get me my cams because they ran out of stage 2 cams and will no longer be making any stage 2 cams for the h22 ever again. This sounds pretty hard to believe, so I think I will be giving crower a call myself to verify this but I wanted to know if any of you had heard anything like this. The shop said they could refund my money or if I put in some more cash they can get me stage 2 skunk2 cams. Any help would be appreciated, THANKS!
they are still listed on the site though http://crower.com/cat/import/honda/camshafts.shtml
i have seen some pretty crappy dyno results from crower cams on the H22A. Kinda makes me hesitant to buy them. I know I can get them cheaper than skunks though....

Skunk2 it is then. Well I allready have the Type S pistons with crower billet rods, the valvetrain is skunk2 dual springs with skunk2 titanium retainers and crower stainless steel valves so i might as well finsh off the head with skunk2 cams, since they seem better than the crowers anyways. It just sucks they've had to wait this long and now have to order parts all over again.
The type S cams would not be nearly as aggressive as the skunks or crower stage 2's so type s cams are out of the question. Besides the port and polish job on my head was done taking into consideration stage 2 cams. Thanks for the help!

About 5 weeks ago, I heard Crower ran out of H22 cam blanks.
Last I heard was that he would have more blanks in 2 months time with some changes being made to the core.

Ended up ordering the skunk2 stage 2 cams for $750.00, only $50.00 more than the crower's. I should get them in 5 days. I'll be sure to post up dyno results once they are installed. Thanks for the help!
Its really weird that a big company like Crower would run out of cams and not make any more cams in over 3 months.

What Crower does is cut the blanks. Your right, not having stuff in stock is bad business especially for a big company.
