Default b16a smokes. all the time!

My b16a smokes all the time. From when i start it up. I didnt notice any shortage of oil. But when i noticed when it first happened it drove it home and haven't started it since. I did a compression test and and one of the cylinders was way low. Rings right? Just recently did the headgasket and a valve adjustment too. i still need to try the cap full of oil trick to see that its def the rings but what else could it be?
