Default cluster question

this question has prolly been answered a million times i searched the honda-tech forums and couldnt find an answer so here i go.

I have a 95 civic but my cluster has no tachometer.. my question is if i got a different cluster with a tachometer could i just pop it in with no problem or would i need a connector or something to make the tach work?

Mine worked just fine. All I did was pop it in and connected all the wires and plugs. Which are there from the factory. You just got to find them if they're tied to something. Same thing if you get a JDM clock. The plug is there there just isn't a clock. So you should be fine.
