Default Rusted fuel lines help

Hey everyone , I am working on a 91 honda ACCORD and trying to replace rusty fuel lines.

Can anyone tell me waht this component is? I've tried searching for about 30 minutes now and cant' find any info on it at all. All I can find is info about fuel pumps and tanks but not this piece.

The line that rusted through is the one circled in green.

1. I meant accord, sorry.

2. Because I did, because I think it's rediculous that they don't put an access hole and require the removal of the gas tank on a car that's prone to rust.

its called drop the gas tank......goodluck with that...glad its not mine....and btw when u were cutting did you ever stop to think gee making sparks near the gas tank with rust or possible leaking could be a bad idea(from cutting through metal).....or that maybe it may affect the integrity of the car....or even that should the gas tank explode through some freak accident that any passengers in the car would have metal shot pretty much through them

have had 4 90-93 accords with no problems with rust at all....besides rear quarter panels which i have cut and replaced

What i'm realllly curious to know is how in the almighty F*** cutting a hole like that and patching it would affect the "integrity of the car." hahahahaha. Umm... It's an accord. I'm willing to bet Honda was smart enough not to make the piece of metal on top of the fuel sender the most integral part of the car. But then again, you're a f@g. I'm sure the integrity was altered about the same amount as you cutting your rear quarters out and welding in new ones on your "no rust problem" cars.

Aside from the fact of that, I do want to say how proud I am of your for being on your 4th Honda Accord. You must really know everything about them! I'm envious! I'm so glad you're using all of that built up knowledge so well. All the grocery getting f@gots need your help! Stellar man. Stellar.
if it were mine you wouldnt be over helping you would just be in my way and if you ever did anything stupid as to cut that id prolly tell you to just get the hell out of my face and never come near any of my cars again.....and thats part of the actual inner body.....the rear quarters are body panels retard....know you stuff before you talk ****

STOP BASHING. People actually leave this forum b/c of loud mouths like you that go posting a novel's worth of trash talking. Let him do what he wants with his car even if it is unsafe. His actions won't harm you. That's the end of it.
The whole idea of cutting into the body is a good idea, but I probably would have taken the tank off first, plugged the nearby fuel lines at least, and cleaned before doing it. It's a great idea since taking the tank off is a pain (i did it last winter), but the way you did it isn't very safe. The gaskets should have done the job keeping out fuel vapors, but you never know. As for the item you have circled, all I know is that it's a two-way valve, but why do you ask anyway? Isn't that hose your only problem?

1. he said he was going to patch it in his post about why this is no different than the guy you cut and welded his body panels.

2. that part of the body is structrual... i would weld it if my car had a hole cut like that, to do so i would drop the tank so it doesnt go boom.
