MSD DIS4 Ignition Q's

Hello Folks

I'm looking to purchase a MSD DIS4 ignition but I'd like to know if there's other brands that will perform the same function for less $$.

Anything cheaper than MSD is sure to be garbage.

the dis4 is distributor less correct?
there is nothing cheaper. check into summit racing they may have one of their brands
