Just got me a CRX.
Hey guys just a couple of quick ??
I bought a 90 crx with a couple of problems, maybe some of yall can help me out.
1st- gas pedal assembly- i need to replace mine because the clutch pedal is broke...i have all the bolts out except the hidden one...i can get to it easly but just cant get the tool to turn...what type of swivel or tool did you use?
2nd hood latch cable broke- im not talking about pulling cable and hitting or anything like that i mean the cable is broke on the inside so how would i go about opening the hood to replace it... any place to stick a screw driver anything?
3rd feul pump has an on/off switch-how can i wire this to come on when ignition is turned on...
4th Would a messed up cold air intake system make the car spuder and hesitate?
Thanks for the help guys.

1. drop the entire steering column and it will make it a WHOLE lot easier to get to that bolt, i just had to remove my pedals on my 91 hatch and thats how i had to do it, since you can already get to it what tool are you useing?
2. like already stated, you have to get your hand between the bumper and hood, my latch is busted too and i have to do that whenever i open my hood
3. i have no idea because ive never had to do that
4. no, are you throwing a CEL? sputtering usually has to do with a lack of fuel, MAP sensor...etc

For a quick fix on the hood situation, just cut the cable and run it down under the front bumber. I did that temporarily until I can replace the whole cable. Congrats on the crx!
i got myself a CREX today too!!!

1)which bolt do u remove to replace an alternator belt on a d15b2?

Hey thanks for all the responces..the person before me had a obama rigged cold air intake i took that off car runs perfect. got the hood up used a tire changing tool...im assuming im going to have to run the feul pump postive to something under fuse block like with a radio turn on switch... now i just gotta get this damn bolt...so far im using the smallest swilve....i cant get it on the bolt but i can feel it (thats what i meant reaching it) im going to drop the steering colum right now thanks...

the sputtering and hesitating sounds like a fuel problem or wiring issue, did you do a basic tune up? if not id go for that first, plugs, wires, check dizzy, and new fuel filter
Yes i believe that is already fixed...the last guy that had the car had used heating duct and a air filter for a "cold air" intake...i took that off started it and it ran wonderful.
Can someone please give me a list of all the diffrent pedal assemblys that will work on a 90 model crx. im going to a junk yard that i know for sure doesnt have a crx one
Thanks.
Thanks.
88-91 civic pedals will work and im not sure but i think DA integra ones will too but dont quote me on it, if the yard near you has a DA in it take your old pedals and compare them or have the yard pull them off for you to look at. at least thats what i would do.
Mk so i hate the junk yard near my house... they have NO civic 88-91 5 speed anything...its pretty sad...but any ways can someone lmk if there are any other cars that the pedals will work out of.
Ok so i solved all problems thanks for the help
