Default Stolen black 2001 Type R Miami FL

Stolen on 11/3 parked @Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital parking garage. Own the car since new and was in mint condition with only 65K. Been parking at that garage on the same spot since I bought the car! Right now dealing with State Farm...

Car has T1R full exhaust, spoon exhaust manifold, and 4.9 final drive.

If they don't recover the car or settle with me then I have some nice OEM parts for sale...

Could you share with us whether or not you had any theft deterants. Very sorry to hear, especially bc you were the original owner and took what sounds like extremely good care of it.

Best of luck, i hope you hear some good news.

Sorry man. Another ITR stolen is bad enough, but original owner and 65K . . . bastards.

I'm very sorry for your loss. I hope she is recovered and rebuildable. I hope things work out well with State Farm....I'm counting on them as well if the worst happens.

Do you remember the badge # that was on the armrest? I'm working on an ITR Registry project and would like to record heR info for our history.

Thieves = waste of oxygen.

Had dealer installed LOJACK and alarm. But I never went back to do maintenance on the LOJACK.

I only drive the car from my home garage to my work garage 5 days a week and parked on the same floor same spot. This is a public health garage and is patrolled by metro dade...but with the budget cuts not sure how much patrolling...also they got rid of the gate attendants/cashiers and installed automated exit/coin system...there is a bunch of cameras but not sure if they are going to review...

Nevertheless, heard from a co-worker that somebody saw a person with a ski mask on in the garage on that day...but person did not report it...!?

This car was targeted...as their are a bunch of better cars to jack...i.e. M3s, Porsche, etc. bunch of doctors park here.

When I get some time I will look it up and post...I have all the original paperwork, invoices, spare keys, etc. etc.

I've traded a 94 green NSX for this 2001 type R...had a baby on the way so the NSX got me a type R and a minivan...should of kept the NSX!

UPDATE:

Car has been recovered! It is currently at Hollywood FL towing company. The towing company told me the car came in the box/trunk of F150 truck...chopped and blow torched to pieces.

They found it because of the LOJACK!

jeez, too little too late for the lojack.

Sorry to hear about your R, there are far too many low lives out there with zero respect for a fine automobile.

Damn! Sorry to hear about this. I wish they would have found it sooner! It always pisses me off to read about these. Especially for original owners who took care of their babies! Good luck with your insurance company. There is alot of info on H-T about this (sadly).

I guess the big question to ask is why can't it be tracked down via lojack while all of this horrible stuff is happening to it? It would be great to catch the scumbags in the act.

That sucks man. I hope they find the bastards. Too bad you can't turn the blow torches on them Marsellus Wallace style. Hopefully you have good luck with your insurance company.
