Default Overheating saga continues? Lights on = H! Help me? Weird probs.

Aight so this is whats gone down.

I replaced the radiator, hooked it up all right, i replaced the thermostat, hooked it up all right. Then i turned the car on after adding the 60/40 percent mix of cooling fluid and water, and then i let it idle. It usually stay at about 25% between the c and the H, and then when i turned the lights on high beam, it would sky rocket in like 2 seconds to the H, then when i turned em off it would go down. When i put the high beams on and step on the gas the car begins to bogg, and this is when its in neutral. Also, the battery check light came up.. and i just let it idle, adding more fluid/water mix.. and it seemed fine.. but the min i put on the lights it sky rockets? What could be wrong with it? Also the lights are dim, and the horn is weak when the lights are on full beam, and the accessories and indiglo guages do not light up as well as they should. Also the alarm does not work sometimes because the battery is weak? Help me out here!

Its just the stock cluster, its actually kinda "Clusterfucked" if you know what im saying. The rev meter dont work too well, and who knows that prolly means the tamp guage is whack. How can i tell to see if the engine is getting too hot? Also like how can i make sure the ground is good? The ground wire is a wire that is connected from around my valve cover to the side of the car? Is this correct? Thank you.

Also i noticed that the top of the rad gets kinda hot, is this normal? About all the other probs.. do you think they could relate to a bad battery or a bad ground? Thank you.

Yea the top of the rad is gonna be real hot ....Go buy a new cluster man ...Get one exactly for your years ..either 88-89 or 90-91 you can mix 88-89's with 90-91 or you will have problems.
